Power to Change is an independent charitable trust that supports community businesses in England, endowed by the National Lottery Community Fund (previously the Big Lottery Fund). Our vision is ‘powerful communities, better places’. We want to back people to build successful community businesses for the benefit of their local places.

Since 2015, Power to Change has made significant investments in research, evaluation, and data analysis to better understand whether community businesses improve places, and if so, whether Power to Change has supported them to do so. The outcomes of these investments are evident in the supporting evidence we have provided on our impact to date. As we embark on a new strategy, we intend to deepen this work even further. The Impact and Learning Officer role plays a crucial role in ensuring Power to Change gathers robust evidence against our new strategy.

The Impact and Learning Officer supports the implementation of the Impact and Learning framework, ensuring that Power to Change uses the best evidence, research, and insight to help achieve our mission of strengthening community businesses to tackle some of society’s biggest challenges.

You will be working closely with other like-minded passionate professionals in our organisation to help communities in England use shared power and business to transform where they live.
