Role Purpose
Are you a passionate and detail-oriented Impact & Evaluation Manager looking for an opportunity to shape a newly created role?
This exciting new role has been created within our recently formed Impact Accelerator; a team bringing together the established teams of strategic impact advisory, grantmaking and social investment. We are CAF’s impact hub, serving CAF’s primary audiences, private clients, corporate clients, the public sector and social purpose organisations. Through our comprehensive offering we exist to influence and drive impact, educating and supporting donors to give more effectively and supporting charities to build their resilience and sustainability.
At CAF, every one of us contributes to our impact, and as our Impact & Evaluation Manager you will play an integral part in what we do.
A core member of the Impact Accelerator team, the Impact & Evaluation Manager will be responsible for ensuring that impact data is collected, measured and monitored for internal and external reporting in accordance with CAF’s Theory of Change. The Impact & Evaluation Manager will also support the client facing Advisory offering in developing effective impact frameworks for CAF clients.

Key Responsibilities
As our Impact & Evaluation Manager you will:
- Be an ambassador for evidence-led giving within CAF
- Contribute to the design, implementation, delivery and continuous improvement of the Impact Accelerator’s Impact Framework based on CAF’s Theory of Change
- Define and implement cross-team data collection processes and tools to ensure collection of high-quality, relevant and timely data aligned with our Impact Framework
- Work closely with colleagues across the Impact Accelerator to design, implement and harmonise programme level monitoring and evaluation, driving improvements and best practice and informing future programme design
- Work with stakeholders across CAF to identify learnings and/or data that could inform external communications and identify areas in which data can inform thought leadership initiatives
- Prepare succinct and insightful dashboard reporting for internal purposes as well as additional qualitative reporting where required
- Work confidently with a range of philanthropists, corporate clients and charity leaders at all levels of seniority delivering concrete advice on impact measurement and high-quality client deliverables
Skills and Experience
This role is for you if you have experience of working in impact measurement and evaluation or have relevant transferable skills and are keen to make a difference to society. We are looking for:
- Prior experience in data analysis, impact and/or evaluation
- Degree level qualification, or equivalent experience, ideally with an additional data literacy qualification
- Exceptional analytical skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy and proficiency in Power BI
- Strong communication skills: ability to interact with different audiences and produce clear, succinct written deliverables
- Passion for supporting charities and social enterprises
- Interest in influencing donors to drive impact and social change
